Ogden, UT - August 4, 2025 - The Institute for Automotive Business Excellence is excited to announce the newest addition to our team of experienced coaches, Aldo Gomez. Based in San Diego, Aldo brings over 12 years of hands-on industry experience, a relatable journey through the shop floor, and a passion for coaching that began in the most grassroots way. It all started over diner coffee and a conversation about business improvement.

What makes Aldo’s arrival especially impactful is not only his extensive background in service advising, operations, and leadership coaching, but also his fluency in both English and Spanish within our industry. This allows The Institute to better serve Spanish-speaking shop owners, managers, and team members, improving communication, clarity, and connection across our coaching programs.
Expanding Support for Spanish-Speaking Clients
Aldo’s bilingual fluency helps us break down language barriers that may prevent some shop owners and their teams from accessing the same depth of coaching and guidance. Whether it is one-on-one coaching, workshop delivery, or operational consulting, Aldo now offers Spanish-speaking clients a more comfortable and effective experience.
From shop workflow to financial metrics, from customer satisfaction to team development, every part of the coaching process can now be delivered in a way that better matches the needs and background of the client.
A Grounded, Practical Perspective
Aldo’s story is one of working from the ground up. He started as a shuttle driver and shop helper, moved into parts management, became a successful service advisor, and eventually stepped into coaching. His coaching approach is rooted in dependability, presence, and making the most of every opportunity, values that resonate deeply with those running and growing auto repair businesses.
He has completed multiple coaching workshops, earned certifications in communication, and studied the principles of respected business thinkers like Dale Carnegie, Jim Rohn, and Zig Ziglar. Most importantly, he understands life in the shop and brings that insight into every coaching conversation.
Aldo’s areas of focus include:
Business Strategy and Scaling
Operations and Workflow Management
Leadership Development
Service Advisor Growth
Customer Retention and Sales Coaching
Bilingual Coaching in English and Spanish
Clients working with Aldo can expect practical guidance, meaningful discussion, and a coach who knows how to connect strategy with everyday business reality.
Fresh Thinking, Familiar Values
Welcoming Aldo is part of our commitment to growing alongside the industry and the people in it. New voices and perspectives allow us to question assumptions, explore better ways of working, and serve a wider audience. This is especially important for those who have felt left out of the traditional coaching landscape.
We believe that bringing in coaches from different backgrounds, with a range of strengths and experiences, helps us meet our clients where they are. Aldo’s journey, skills, and coaching style create new opportunities for learning, growth, and meaningful progress in today’s shops.
