Position Overview:

The Marketing Specialist will play a vital role in supporting the marketing team by assisting with the planning, organization, creation, and execution of various marketing initiatives. These efforts are crucial for enhancing the visibility of our services, increasing awareness among target audiences, and strengthening The Institute's brand image.

You will work closely with the marketing manager to ensure that all initiatives align with the strategic objectives of the organization. Together, you will focus on increasing visibility and attendance for our programs, classes, intensives, and more. This role encompasses a variety of digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and content creation, providing you with the opportunity to contribute to impactful marketing campaigns.

While prior experience in these areas is beneficial, we are looking for someone with a strong desire to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment. Your ability to communicate effectively, manage multiple tasks, and think creatively will be key to achieving our marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotion and Digital Marketing:

  • Assist in the development and execution of digital marketing strategies, including social media, paid advertising, email campaigns, and other promotional activities.

  • Create engaging content for various platforms to connect with and educate our target audiences.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a unified message and consistent branding across all channels.

  • Content Development:

  • Produce ad copy, blog content, newsletters, and other written content that reflects The Institute's values and objectives.

  • Support graphic design projects using Canva Pro, and to create visually appealing marketing materials.

  • Project Coordination:

  • Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that deadlines are met and objectives are achieved.

  • Analyze and report on marketing campaign performance, providing data-driven insights and recommendations for improvement.

  • Communication and Teamwork:

  • Partner with the marketing manager to ensure marketing strategies align with organizational goals.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members, clients, and external partners.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or a related field, plus 1+ years of related experience, or equivalent experience (one year of education can be substituted for two years of related work experience).

  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

  • Familiarity with various software tools and platforms.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to change.

  • Experience in digital marketing, including social media, email marketing, and paid media.

  • Proficiency with marketing software such as Mailchimp, Constant Contact, and CRM systems.

  • Partnership Marketing

  • Event Planning & Promotion

  • YouTube Channel Management & Monetization

  • Experience in budget management and tracking.

  • Copywriting skills with the ability to create captivating content.

  • Graphic design experience, particularly using Canva Pro.

  • Proficiency in creating polished presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides.

  • Ability to prioritize and meet multiple, often competing, deadlines.
